Meaning when upright
The Page of Wands is the suit's eager student and messenger: a youth in a salamander-patterned tunic stands in open desert country, gazing at the top of his staff as though just discovering what it can do. The card brings news, messages, and fresh ideas that stir excitement, along with the restless curiosity to explore a new passion, place, or path. Waite describes him standing in the act of proclamation, faithful, a lover, an envoy, a postman, whose tidings are strange and who may signify family news. As a person, the Page can be a young, adventurous, spontaneous individual; as a situation, it is the thrilling first stage of something you do not yet know how to do.
